Kitchenaid is a brand with a long history and is one of the leading brands. When people are talking about “stand mixers” they usually mean Kitchenaid! This article describes my stand mixer and the practical use and why my choice is Kitchenaid, I hope you will enjoy my little story
The struggling
Before I bought my Kitchenaid I was struggling with myself, which one to get; the Kenwood or the Kitchenaid? Both of the machines seem to be extremely durable and reliable and both have a set of attachments available, one of the factors which made me buy this stand mixer is that the availability of the machine in the USA is much easier (and wider) then the Kenwood. The other reason I pursued to purchase this machine is that a good friend (which happens to be a chef at the top level segment) had recommended me the brand Kitchenaid for home and semi-professional use.

Decision made, time to order
Finally decided to order and to be more exact the KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixer, one of the cheapest place I’ve found to buy the mixer is Amazon, they are usually prompt with delivery and reliable, have free shipping included, within 2 days I was the proud owner of a new Kitchenaid ! You can order one here
When I saw the box, I felt like a little kid at Christmas waiting to unwrap my presents (yes it has been years, I know), soooo exciting! The machine was very good packaged and handled with care, after unwrapping everything and making the stand mixer actually operational and checking for any damages/scratches, the machine is supplied with a manual, a flat beater for making batter, dough hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs and a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise and many more fluffy/air infusions.
Get ready, get set, GO!
One of the first things I created with my Kitchenaid is a very nice brioche (I got the recipe from the book: Desserts, by Gordon Ramsay, I will be talking more about this book in the near future). The handling to add butter to the dough was so much easier then before (for making Brioche you have to mix the dough with flour and eggs first and then add a full spoon of butter, spoon by spoon to make it as a unity) the end result of all this was by far the best Brioche I’ve ever made!
My hand mixer is now stored somewhere deep in the kitchen and is used as emergency only
(degraded to egg white beater mostly) The ease of use since owning the machine has increased drastically and the mixtures are of a much better quality now.
In summary; I am very pleased with my Kitchenaid stand mixer and I am still wondering to this date why I didn’t purchase it earlier! It makes my life so much easier
I plan to post my progress with my Kitchenaid here, stay tuned and I’m right now in the progress of ordering the KitchenAid Mixer Attachments containing the food grinder, the slicer/shredder and the fruits and vegetables strainer. You can order it here!
